Over 3 mln people took part in National Unity Day festivities in Russia - Interior Ministry
MOSCOW. Nov 6 (Interfax) - More than three million people took part in National Unity Day celebrations across Russia, Russian Interior Ministry spokesperson Irina Volk told Interfax on Monday.
"As many as 3.25 million people, including nearly 750,000 residents of Moscow, took part in mass public and political, cultural and athletic events dedicated to National Unity Day," Volk said.
Another 240,000 Muscovites participated in or watched events as part of the Night of the Arts culture and education festival, she said.
"Interior Ministry units and other law enforcement agencies did not allow any public order offences to occur," she said.
