Russia to facilitate TurkStream continuation via Serbia to Hungary, Austria - deputy PM

BELGRADE. Nov 9 (Interfax) - Moscow shares Belgrade's interest in developing the TurkStream gas pipeline project and in its continuation via Serbia to Hungary and Austria, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yury Borisov said.

"We share Serbia's interest in developing TurkStream, and we will do all we can to facilitate one possible option - a second branch of TurkStream - its continuation from the Bulgarian border via Serbia to Hungary and onwards to Austria. This will give a major additional boost to our trade turnover," Borisov told reporters following a meeting in Belgrade with Serbian First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic.

"At the same time this calls for building a fairly large gas storage facility, for up to 1 billion cubic meters, probably," he said.
