Head of opposition Azerbaijani Popular Front Party detained during unpermitted march in Baku - police

BAKU. Nov 18 (Interfax) - Over ten persons, among them Ali Kerimli, the chairman of the opposition Azerbaijani Popular Front Party (APFP), have been detained by the police during an unpermitted march in Baku on Sunday, the press service of the Baku police department said.

"Eleven organizers of the action, among them APFP Chairman Ali Kerimli, have been detained," the police said.

In all, 52 march participants were taken to the police station in the Sabail district of Baku, and 41 of them were given a warning and set free.
