Moscow, Hanoi call for soonest endorsement of S. China Sea code - Vietnamese PM
HANOI. Nov 19 (Interfax) - Russia and Vietnam call for the soonest endorsement of a code of conduct in the South China Sea, Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc told the press after his talks with Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev.
"We have discussed many global and regional affairs of mutual interest, including joint efforts towards peace, stability, security, and freedom of navigation in the South China Sea consistent with international laws and the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea of 1982," Phuc said.
"We stand for the soonest endorsement of a code of conduct in the South China Sea," he said.
