Abkhazian president notes intensity of defense contacts with Russia

BOCHAROV RUCHEI, Sochi. Nov 21 (Interfax) - The efforts being made by the defense ministries of Russia and Abkhazia and the information coordination center are testament to the intensity of the bilateral relationship, the republic's president Raul Khajimba said.

"The work we talked about, of the information coordination center, of our defense ministries which are now working actively - this year saw over 94 completed measures, which attest to the intensity of the relations between our Defense Ministries. This is important for Abkhazia and necessary in order to demonstrate our relations once again," Khajimba said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday.

He thanked Putin for providing yet another opportunity to meet and discuss important issues. "Our meetings have already become traditional and are an attestation of relations being formed between our states. Over this period, work under the investment program has been intense, there are successes," Khajimba said.

The investment agency is working, he said. "Some facilities are nearing completion, others are complete and have already started working in the agrarian sector."
