Russian, Iranian foreign ministers hold talks in Rome
ROME. Nov 23 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is holding talks with Iranian counterpart Jawad Zarif on the sidelines of the Mediterranean Dialogues conference in Rome on Friday.
The meeting is held behind closed doors.
Before the talks the two ministers greeted one another. Zarif asked Lavrov when he arrived in Rome. Lavrov complained about fairly busy recently and then told Zarif of his meeting with Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte on Thursday evening.
Lavrov is in Rome on a two-day working visit. Earlier on Friday he met with Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman al-Safadi, Iraqi President Barham Saleh, Italian Foreign Minister Enzo Moavero Milanesi and Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono.
