Ukrainian consuls seek access to sailors detained in Kerch Strait, brought to Moscow later - Ukrainian FM

KYIV. Nov 30 (Interfax) - Ukrainian consuls in Moscow are taking every effort to gain access to Ukrainian naval sailors, who were detained in the Kerch Strait on November 25, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said.

"Although Russian representatives confirmed to us by phone that all of our guys are in Moscow. Ukrainian consuls are working on gaining access to them as soon as possible," the foreign minister wrote on Twitter.

The denial to provide information and access to Ukrainian naval sailors for consuls "is a crime under international law," Klimkin said.
