Ukraine reduces oil imports 24% in 11M, coal up 10%
KYIV. Dec 7 (Interfax) - Ukraine reduced oil (foreign economic code 2709) imports 24.1% in 11M 2018 year-on-year to 702,310 tonnes worth $400.968 million, the State Fiscal Service reported.
Ukraine imported oil worth $376.337 million from Azerbaijan, $14.538 million from Iran, $7.176 million from Algeria and $2.917 million from other countries. Ukraine did not export any oil in the period.
Ukraine increased coal (foreign economic code 2701) imports 9.9% to 19.095 million tonnes. The coal (including anthracite) imports were worth $2.693 billion, 10.8% more than in 11M 2017.
Ukraine imported coal worth $1.667 billion from Russia (61.91% of the total), $806.349 million from the U.S. (29.94%), $128.608 million from Canada (4.78%) and $90.865 million from other countries (3.37%).
Ukraine exported 63,617 tonnes of coal worth $8.627 million in the 11 months, including $4.597 million to Russia, $3.201 million to Slovakia, $0.715 million to Moldova and $0.114 million to other countries.
