Russia, France to form working group on WTO reform
PARIS. Dec 18 (Interfax) - Russia and France have agreed to form a working group at the level of economy ministers to work out joint proposals for reforming the World Trade Organization (WTO), Economic Development Minister Maxim Oreshkin told reporters after a meeting of the Franco-Russian Economic, Financial, Industrial and Trade Council (CEFIC) in Paris on Monday.
"This will be a working group at the level of ministries," he said, referring to Russia's Economic Development Ministry and France's Economy and Finance Ministry. "We plan to hold the first meeting before the end of the year," he said.
"We will work out joint working proposals for reforming the WTO. It's still early to say what these proposals will be, but we're actively working on this subject matter," Oreshkin said.
