European parliamentarians to visit Moscow next year - Volodin
MOSCOW. Dec 19 (Interfax) - Parliamentary delegations of several European countries will visit Moscow next year, according to State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin.
"Delegations of leading parliaments, ones of Spain, Italy, and France, are expected to visit us next year," Volodin said at the final meeting of the State Duma's autumnal session on Wednesday.
Contacts with national parliaments are being constantly maintained on the bilateral level, Volodin said.
"Speaking of international formats, they are quite effective," he said.
"The German Bundestag invited our delegation to pay a visit a few days ago," Volodin said.
He also noted the "positive role" of European executive agencies, primarily the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe.
