NSDC meeting planned for Wednesday at time when martial law expires
KYIV. Dec 26 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) will meet in Kyiv on December 26.
"A NSDC meeting is scheduled to take place at 2 p.m. today," a source close to the NSDC told Interfax.
He did not specify the meeting agenda.
The NSDC held its previous meeting early in the morning on November 26. It backed the declaration of 60-day martial law throughout Ukraine.
Later on that day, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a law to enforce the presidential order that declared 30-day martial law in ten regions of Ukraine.
Martial law will expire at 2 p.m. on Wednesday.
