Moscow wants U.S. to officially notify it of strategy of troops withdrawal from Syria - Foreign Ministry

MOSCOW. Dec 26 (Interfax) - Moscow expects to receive official notification from Washington concerning the strategy for the withdrawal of U.S. forces from Syria, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.

"We have seen these reports. We would like to observe some development in the sense of receiving an official response from Washington on its strategy and plans - something containing strategy. Unfortunately, there has been none of that," Zakharova said at a news briefing on Wednesday.

"We believe that if this happens, namely the withdrawal of forces, this could only promote the development of a positive and constructive situation," she said.
