Russian coal production to grow 6%, exports 4.1% in 2018 - Novak
MOSCOW. Dec 27 (Interfax) - Russian coal production will grow 6% in 2018 to 433.6 million tonnes, Energy Minister Alexander Novak told reporters.
Coal exports will rise 4.1% in 2018 to 194 million tonnes, he said.
Novak said in August that Russia might export over 200 million tonnes of coal in 2018 - half of it in a westerly and half of it in an easterly direction.
The coal production forecast in the summer was 420 million tonnes.
