Putin arrives in Magnitogorsk where residential building partially collapsed in explosion
MAGNITOGORSK. Dec 31 (Interfax) - President Vladimir Putin has arrived in Magnitogorsk.
Putin urgently came to the Chelyabinsk region where an explosion rocked a residential building on Monday morning.
He is due to meet with the victims and regional heads.
One of the 12 blocks of the ten-story residential building constructed in 1973 at 164, Karl Marx Avenue in Magnitogorsk collapsed on Monday morning as a result of gas explosion. Sixteen people were evacuated. Seven survivors were retrieved from under the debris, and four died. Dozens are missing.
