Three children die in apartment block collapse in Magnitogorsk - regional authorities
YEKATERINBURG. Jan 2 (Interfax) - Three children are among 24 victims whose bodies have been retrieved from the rubble of the partially collapsed residential building in the city of Magnitogorsk, the press service of the governor of the Chelyabinsk Region said.
"A total of 24 bodies, including three children, were retrieved. Search efforts for 17 people are under way," the statement reads.
A section of the 10-storey apartment block on Karl Marx Street in Magnitogorsk collapsed in a gas explosion early on December 31. According to updated reports, the death toll stands at 24, 17 people are still missing.
