About 30 flights delayed at Sheremetyevo Airport following Czech aircraft accident
MOSCOW. Jan 13 (Interfax) - About 30 flights have been delayed at Moscow's Sheremetyevo International Airport, where a passenger airliner of the Czech airline SmartWings had run off the runway in a take-off on Sunday.
"It will take some time to remove the aircraft from the runway. In this connection, one of the runways is closed," a source with air dispatching services told Interfax.
Twenty-six flights were delayed at the airport, according to the Yandex.Raspisaniye service.
The SmartWings airliner skidded off the runway by 100 meters in a run-up on Sunday. None of 40 passengers and crewmembers was hurt.
