Medvedev, Finnish parliament speaker discuss bilateral relations on sidelines of Gaidar Forum

MOSCOW. Jan 15 (Interfax) - Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and Finnish Parliament Speaker Paula Risikko have discussed Russian-Finnish relations, including joint environmental projects, on the sidelines of the Gaidar Forum.

According to the Russian government press service, Medvedev and Risikko said that Russian-Finnish relations, including economic ones, are at a good level.

They expressed hope that Moscow and Helsinki will maintain constructive interaction in light of Finland's chairmanship of the European Union in the second half of the year, the press service said.

The two discussed a number of priority issues, first and foremost in the field of the environment.
