RussNeft grew oil reserves 40 mln tonnes, produced 7.1 mln tonnes in 2018

MOSCOW. Jan 22 (Interfax) - RussNeft grew its oil reserves 40 million tonnes and produced 7.1 million tonnes in 2018, the company said.

"Most geological work last year was carried out in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District. The company conducts an extensive exploration program each year, the main avenues for replenishing the reserves portfolio for the medium term being tight and unconventional reserves. This enables us to prioritize our projects, singling out the most appealing and attractive of them (Verkhne-Shapshinskoye, Tagrinskoye, Zapadno-Varyeganskoye fields)," RussNeft said.

RussNeft carried out more than 1,600 square kilometers of 3D seismic field work at licensed sections of the Shapshinskaya group of fields in 2018. It also processed and re-interpreted seismic and well data for the Shapshinskaya group in order to adjust the Neocomian deposits model.
