Death toll from swine flu in Georgia rises to 21 - media
TBILISI. Jan 23 (Interfax) - Another two people have died in Georgia, presumably from the H1N1 virus (swine flu), the Georgian media have reported.
The death toll from the disease has thus reached 21.
According to reports, a 48-year-old woman died in Batumi.
It was reported on Wednesday that a 33-year-old Georgian citizen had died in Turkey, presumably from H1N1. The man was receiving treatment in Batumi, but his relatives insisted he be transported to a clinic in Trabzon after his condition worsened, and he died there, according to reports.
On January 21, the media reported that 19 people had died from the virus.
Last week, the Georgian Health Ministry said that there had been 18 confirmed deaths.
