Peaceful settlement of Karabakh conflict within OSCE Minsk Group's framework remains Armenia's priority - FM

YEREVAN. Jan 28 (Interfax) - A peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict within the OSCE Minsk Group's framework is a priority of Armenia, according to Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan.

"We are true to our stance and statements. An exclusively peaceful settlement of this conflict achieved exclusively within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group remains a priority. Armenia deems the status and security of Karabakh to be most important; this is a priority, which is being discussed at the talks," Mnatsakanyan told the press on Monday.

As for the engagement of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic in the talks, the minister reported the continuing effort towards that goal.

The minister called "strange" the fact that statements on preparing the Armenian and Azerbaijani communities for peace caused a defeatist sentiment in certain circles.
