Strengthening military to remain priority in next 5 years - Poroshenko
KYIV. Jan 29 (Interfax) - Strengthening the military will remain Ukraine's priority over the next five years, President Petro Poroshenko said.
"Strengthening our armed forces, modernizing them and arming them with the latest models of weapon and military hardware, both of Ukrainian make and ultimately from all over the world, from all our partners, will remain our priority cause over the next five years," Poroshenko said at the forum "From Kruty to Brussels: We Are Going Our Way" in Kyiv on Tuesday.
Only a battle-ready army can guarantee peace, he said.
"The Ukrainian Armed Forces are receiving from all our partners the most advanced technologies and weapons, which enable them to defend Ukrainian land effectively," Poroshenko said.
