Kazakhstan's Agromash studying proposal of Russian tractor plant
ALMATY. Jan 30 (Interfax) - The Petersburg Tractor Plant is in talks with Agromash Holding KZ over a Kostanai-based tractor assembly project, according to the office of the Kazakh prime minister.
At a meeting with Kazakh First Deputy Prime Minister Askar Mamin on Tuesday, the director of the Petersburg Tractor Plant, Sergei Serebryakov, expressed support for the proposal to set up an assembly line of Kirovets tractors with Agromash Holding KZ. Serebryakov also proposed launching the production of drive shafts and wheel disks for tractors.
Between 2014 and 2017, Kazakhstan imported 500 Kirovets agricultural tractors. Annual demand was about 1,600. The Petersburg Tractor Plant produces eight modifications of tractors of the K-744R series.
