Rusal preparing to restore position in market after lifting of sanctions - Rusal representative in Ural Federal District

YEKATERINBURG. Jan 30 (Interfax) - Rusal is setting its enterprises the task of promptly restoring the company's position in the market after the lifting of sanctions, Rusal's official representative in the Ural Federal District Roman Lukichev told Interfax.

"Our strategy remains the same: production of high quality products that meet the demands of our clients, growth in the share of alloys, development of environmentally clean technologies, facilitating the growth of the domestic market," he said.

The lifting of sanctions from Rusal is being seen as positive news not just by the company and its consumers, Lukichev said. "Key sectors of the nation's economy depend on the smooth operation of the company's enterprises - the energy sector, the transport sector, since aluminum production is a backbone element of the economy," he said.

CEO Yevgeny Nikitin is currently heading up the company, Lukichev said.
