Russia's Patrushev starting talks in UAE

ABU DHABI. Jan 31 (Interfax) - Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev has arrived in Abu Dhabi where he will discuss issues concerning security cooperation between Russia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

"The Security Council secretary will hold meetings on cooperation between the Security Councils of Russia and the United Arab Emirates," the press service of the Russian Security Council told Interfax.

This visit was preceded by Patrushev's security consultations in Cairo, where he and Egyptian officials discussed ways to ensure the security of charter flights between Russia and Egyptian resorts, the fight against terrorism and extremism, the problem of "color revolutions", regulation of non-governmental organizations' activities, and other issues.

Patrushev also met with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
