Peskov doesn't know if Metropolitan Onufriy will attend conversation between clergy, Putin
MOSCOW. Jan 31 (Interfax) - A Kremlin official could not say whether Russian President Vladimir Putin will speak with Metropolitan Onufriy of Kyiv and All Ukraine at the celebrations of the 10th anniversary of the Local Assembly of the Russian Orthodox Church.
The presidential press service reported earlier that Putin was scheduled to have a brief conversation with representatives and heads of the delegations of local Orthodox churches who have come to the celebration.
Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said he did not see Metropolitan Onufriy on the list of participants but that such a meeting could take place on the sidelines of the event if he attends.
"They will be [talking] there on the sidelines. But I don't see him on the list now, I can't answer your question," Peskov said.
