Ukraine extends moratorium on sale of agricultural lands

KYIV. Feb 4 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has signed into law the bill, which extends the moratorium on the sale of agricultural lands until January 1, 2020.

The relevant law (Bill No. 9355-5) signed by the president was returned on February 4, 2019, Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada said on its website on Monday.

On December 20, 2018, the Verkhovna Rada passed Bill No. 9355-5 extending the moratorium on the sale of agricultural lands until January 1, 2020. The bill in particular would envisage that the government should work out and submit the bill on the circulation of agricultural lands for consideration of the parliament before March 1, 2019.
