Kazakh minister, SCO RATS head discuss fighting terror
ASTANA.Feb5 (Interfax) - Kazakh Interior Minister Kalmukhanbet Kasymov discussed cooperation in combating extremism and terrorism with the director of the Executive Committee of the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure (RATS), Dzhumakhon Giyosov, at a meeting in Astana, the press service of the Kazakh Interior Ministry said.
"Participants in the meeting exchanged opinions about the present state and prospects of cooperation within the SCO in the sphere of resisting terrorism and extremism. The sides expressed readiness to continue strengthening interaction in spheres of interest," the ministry said.
