Russian space industry less affected by U.S. sanctions than other spheres - Energia
MOSCOW. Feb 14 (Interfax-AVN) - Representatives from the United States' aerospace industry are trying to shield their Russian counterparts from sanctions, according to the Energia Corporation.
"Despite the U.S.' constantly increasing sanctions on Russia, this pressure has had a smaller effect on our space industry, because positively-minded representatives of the U.S. side consider it necessary to protect our cooperation under space programs and the supplies of necessary products and services from sanctions and restrictions," Energia said in a Q4 2018 report released on Thursday.
Other positive factors include domestic political stability, relatively low inflation, the stability of the ruble against the leading global currencies, and the stabilization of global oil and gas prices, the report said.
