New Armenian parliament speaker to go to Moscow in 1st visit abroad

YEREVAN. Feb 15 (Interfax) - Armenian National Assembly Speaker Ararat Mirzoyan will pay a visit to Moscow on February 25-26, Leonid Kalashnikov, the head of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration, and Compatriots, said.

"This visit is mostly taking place via the upper chamber, at the invitation of the Federation Council. As I understand it, the visit will take place on the 25 and 26th of this month," Kalashnikov told reporters in Yerevan.

This will be Mirzoyan's first visit abroad as parliamentary speaker. He was elected in January.
