Calvey has no complaints about jail conditions - business ombudsman

MOSCOW. Feb 26 (Interfax) - Michael Calvey, the founder of the investment fund Baring Vostok, has no complaints about pressure from the investigative agencies or the conditions in which he is being held at a pretrial detention facility, the Russian business ombudsman, Boris Titov, said on Tuesday.

"There is no pressure, he said there have been no approaches toward him," Titov told journalists after visiting the jail where Calvey is currently being held.

Calvey has not made any complaints about the conditions or his health, he said.

"We have visited both Philippe [Delpal, a citizen of France also detained in the case] and Calvey. The conditions are fine, this is a renovated block, and neither of them has any complaints about the conditions in which they are held," Titov said.

Calvey is held in an eight-man cell and Delpal in a three-man cell, he said.
