Gazprom Neft boosted sales of marine fuel 10%, low-sulfur fuel 26% in 2018

MOSCOW. March 11 (Interfax) - Gazpromneft Marine Bunker, which manages the bunkering business of Gazprom Neft , increased its sales of marine fuel to 2.9 million tonnes in 2018, Gazprom Neft said in a statement.

The company said it continued to increase the share of low-sulfur fuel in the total sales structure in 2018. Sales of environmentally friendly marine fuel containing less than 0.1% sulfur grew 26% to 200,000 tonnes.

Sales in the Northwest and the Black Sea region boosted the indicators for the year.

Gazpromneft Marine Bunker is planning to expand the range of fuels it offers through the use of LNG. In 2018, the company began introducing international standards for LNG bunkering and planning the construction of Russia's first LNG bunkering barge.
