Russian airstrike at militant depot in Idlib agreed with Turkey - Defense Ministry
MOSCOW. March 13 (Interfax) - Russian warplanes destroyed a militant warehouse in the Syrian city of Idlib on Wednesday with Turkey's prior consent, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"On March 13 the Russian Aerospace Forces aircraft, on agreement with the Turkish side, carried out a precision airstrike against an arms and ammunition depot of the terror group Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham [aka Jabhat al-Nusra, banned in Russia] in the city of Idlib," the ministry said.
"According to the information confirmed through several channels, a day earlier said warehouse received a large delivery of attack unmanned aerial vehicles. Terrorists were planning to use them for an aerial attack on the Russian air base at Khmeimim," the ministry said.
