Militants shell several populated localities in Idlib de-escalation area in past 24 hours - Russian Reconciliation Center

MOSCOW. March 21 (Interfax) - Illegal armed groups are still violating the ceasefire in the Idlib de-escalation area, head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria Maj. Gen. Viktor Kupchishin said at a press briefing.

"Militants have shelled the populated localities of Basharfa, Shir al-Sahab, and north of Jubb Al-Mgara in the Latakia governorate, Skalbia, el-Jeit, Abu Abeida, Massaka and Safsafa in the Hama governorate, the city of Aleppo (twice), the populated localities of Suqqari (three times), Mgaret Marza and Zahabia in the Aleppo governorate in the past 24 hours," Kupchishin said.

"The Russian Center for Reconciliation urges commanders of illegal armed groups to end armed provocations and join the settlement of the situation in the areas controlled by them," he added.
