EDB, Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund may acquire stake in Kyrgyzstan's RSK Bank

BISHKEK. March 28 (Interfax) - The European Development Bank (EDB) and the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (RKDF) may become strategic investors in Kyrgyzstan's RSK Bank, the EDB's press service told Interfax.

This is envisaged in the memorandum on cooperation the sides signed in Bishkek on Thursday during the two countries' interregional conference.

"The EDB and the RKDF intend to consider the possibility of participating as strategic investors in RSK Bank for the capitalization of the latter in order to expand its activity in support of the Kyrgyz Republic's economic development. In accordance with the agreements that have been reached, the cooperation between the sides will take place with the goal of establishing and developing cooperation in studying the possibilities of the EDB's and RKDF's participation in investment projects (provision of credit) to RSK Bank and its capitalization," the press service said.
