Nazarbayev to become honorary guest at this May's EAEU summit in Nur-Sultan
NUR-SULTAN. March 29 (Interfax) - Kazakh leader of the nation Nursultan Nazarbayev will attend an anniversary summit of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), which will be held in the Kazakh capital in late May, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.
"An EAEU anniversary summit will be held in Nur-Sultan on May 29. Elbasy [the leader of the nation] Nazarbayev will attend it as an honorary guest," Tokayev wrote on Twitter on Friday.
The head of state said that 25 years ago first Kazakh President Nazarbayev, when delivering a speech at Moscow State University, "set out his vision of Eurasian integration, actually becoming an author of this concept, which has been put into practice."
