Volodin invites Angolan delegation to Russia-Africa inter-parliamentary conference due in July
MOSCOW. April 3 (Interfax) - The State Duma will host an international conference on Russia-Africa relations on July 3, 2019, and will invite a delegation from Angola to this forum, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin told Angolan President Joao Lourenco at their meeting on Wednesday.
"I'd like to use this occasion to invite a delegation of the Angolan parliament so that your country can fully participate in the parliamentary-dimension dialogue we are planning to have here, in Moscow, to address security, existent international challenges, and, of course, interregional cooperation," Volodin said.
He called for boosting bilateral relations and said that the coming meeting between Lourenco and Russian President Vladimir Putin would spur on inter-parliamentary contacts.
Lourenco will address the State Duma on Wednesday and meet with Putin on Thursday.
