Arrest of 'Baring Vostok case' suspect Delpal appealed in cassation
MOSCOW. April 4 (Interfax) - The defense lawyers for Philippe Delpal, a citizen of France, who is a partner of the investment fund Baring Vostok for the financial sector industry, have filed a cassation appeal against his arrest.
"The Moscow City Court has registered a cassation appeal filed by lawyer [Tatyana] Tonova in defense of the interests of accused Delpal," the court told Interfax.
The cassation court judge will decide whether the appeal can be sent to the Moscow City Court presidium within the period of time established by law, it said.
Similar appeals have been filed in the interests of four other people implicated in the case in which Delpal is a suspect: Baring Vostok senior partner and founder Michael Calvey, the fund's partner Vagan Abgaryan, Investment Fund Director Ivan Zyuzin, and First Collection Bureau General Director Maxim Vladimirov.
