Forty percent of Nord Stream 2 built, 978 km of pipe

MOSCOW. April 9 (Interfax) - A total of 978 kilometers of pipe for the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, or 40% of the project, has been laid along the bottom of the Baltic Sea, according to Gazprom .

During the International Arctic Forum in St. Petersburg on Tuesday, head of PJSC Gazprom Alexei Miller held a working meeting with French Ambassador to Russia Sylvie Bermann.

France is one of Gazprom's key markets in Europe. Over the past five years, exports to that country have risen 58%, reaching 12.9 billion cubic meters in 2018.
