Roskomnadzor chief vows to preserve quality of network operators' services under steady Runet law
MOSCOW. April 9 (Interfax) - The implementation of the steady Runet law will not affect the quality of services provided by network operators, the head of the telecoms watchdog Roskomnadzor, Alexander Zharov, said.
"All of the equipment of electronic-network control and monitoring automatic systems has been included in the list of means of communications subject to mandatary certification. Certification guarantees that the equipment meets a certain standard of quality, that it fulfills the functions vested in it, but on top of this it is also an additional guarantee that our users will not suffer," Zharov told the State Duma committee for Information Technologies, Information Policy and Communications on Tuesday.
