Foreign ambassadors congratulate Kim Jong Un on approaching Day of the Sun
PYONGYANG. April 10 (Interfax) - The ambassadors of Palestine and Russia, Ahmed Mohamed Hasan and Alexander Matsegora, have congratulated North Korean leader Kim Jong Un on the approaching Day of the Sun.
The ambassadors, the dean and the vice-dean of the diplomatic corps stationed in Pyongyang, met with North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho at the ministry, the Russian embassy to North Korea said on Facebook.
"Consistent with the local protocol, a flower basket and a congratulatory letter to the Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Kim Jong Un, on the occasion of the Day of the Sun celebrated on April 15, have been presented on behalf of the heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Pyongyang " the embassy said.
Ri thanked the ambassadors for their work "bolstering friendly relations" between the countries and wished success to their activity.
The Day of the Sun is a national holiday celebrated by North Korea on April 15, the birthday of Kim Il Sung, who is frequently called "Sun of the Nation."
