Baring Vostok investigation period extended till mid-August - source
MOSCOW. April 11 (Interfax) - The period of investigation into the embezzlement from the Vostochny Bank by Baring Vostok executives has been extended for four more months, an informed source told Interfax on Thursday.
"The pre-trial investigation period was extended until August 13 in late March," the source said.
In his words, investigators are planning to carry out various examinations, to question a large number of witnesses, and to study a large amount of information stored on electronic media.
The press service of the Basmanny District Court in Moscow said earlier that house arrest of Calvey and former Vostochny Bank CEO Alexei Kordichev had been requested by investigators.
