Rosatom, Ethiopia sign roadmap for construction of NPP, scientific center
MOSCOW. April 15 (Interfax) - Russia and Ethiopia have signed a roadmap on "organizing cooperation" for the construction of a nuclear power plant and a center for atomic science and technology in that country, the Rosatom state nuclear corporation said.
The document was signed during the Atomexpo 2019 forum in Sochi and covers a three-year period.
Joint actions are earmarked for projects to set up a center for atomic science and technology and build a Russian-designed nuclear power plant there, Rosatom said. The foundation has been laid to train personnel and form positive public opinion about the nuclear industry, it said.
The countries signed a memorandum in the summer of 2017 on cooperation in the peaceful use of the atom.
