Red Cross sends 300 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Donbas
KYIV. April 18 (Interfax) - A humanitarian truck convoy of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) passed through the Novotroitske checkpoint into Donbas areas uncontrolled by Kyiv on Thursday morning, the Ukrainian State Border Service said in a statement on Thursday.
"Sixteen trucks of the International Committee of the Red Cross passed through the Novotroitske checkpoint into the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territory. A total of 295 tonnes of humanitarian aid, namely food and hygienic packages and construction and agricultural materials, were sent to the population of Donbas," the statement said.
