MOSCOW. April 21 (Interfax) - Russia stands ready to help find the terrorists who staged a series of deadly terrorist acts in Sri Lanka as Christians celebrate Easter Sunday, Chairman of the Russian State Duma's Foreign Affairs Committee Leonid Slutsky said.

"Today it is the global evil that we need to fight together. I am confident that if it is necessary and if such a request arrives, the Russian side will provide all necessary support in order to find the criminals and help those injured," Slutsky wrote on his Telegram channel.

More than 180 people were killed and hundreds were injured as a result of terrorist acts in Sri Lanka during Easter festivities, he said.

"Terrorism has neither religion nor nationality," Slutsky said, offering his condolences to the victims' families and friends.
