Lukashenko to attend One Belt, One Road forum, to have talks with Xi in Beijing
MINSK. April 24 (Interfax) - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko will be attending the 2nd international forum One Belt, One Road in Beijing on April 25-27.
He is also due to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping to discuss the implementation of major bilateral projects, the development of interregional cooperation, and the possibility of deepening Belarusian-Chinese interaction in trade, the economy, investments, humanitarian affairs, and other spheres, the Belarusian presidential administration said in a statement on Wednesday.
Lukashenko will have a series of bilateral meetings on the forum's sidelines.
While at the forum, Lukashenko will present Belarusian initiatives fostering the One Belt, One road initiative and cooperation in Eurasia with emphasis on building an equal and transparent system of international trade.
Russian President Vladimir Putin will also attend the forum. He will meet with Xi and other colleagues in Beijing on April 26, Russian Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov said earlier.
