Ryabkov urges U.S. to declare inadmissibility of nuclear war

MOSCOW. April 26 (Interfax) - Moscow speaks in favor of a joint statement with the United States to declare the inadmissibility of a nuclear war, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said at a briefing in Moscow on Friday.

"Once again, we would like to persuade our U.S. colleagues that, under these circumstances, it is time that we made a joint statement on the inadmissibility of a nuclear conflict, a nuclear war," Ryabkov said.

Moscow had earlier urged the United States to do so, but its call was rejected, he said.
