SAINT PETERSBURG. April 26 (Interfax) JSC Ilim Group increased its net profit to Russian Accounting Standards (RAS) in 2018 1.9-fold compared with 2017, to 35.6 billion rubles, the company said.

Revenue increased 40% to 155.7 billion rubles and profit before taxes 1.9-fold to 45.3 billion rubles.

"Last year Ilim Group mills produced 2.1 million [metric] tons of pulp, 870,000 tons of packaging materials, 340,000 tons of white papers, 80,000 tons of forest chemicals and 229 million m2 of corrugated packaging. Ilim has thus retained its leadership in the pulp and paper market in terms of volumes," the company said.

"2018 was one of the most financially strong years for Ilim. We delivered operating EBITDA of RUB 73 billion. We have reached another record high market product output," said Chief Executive Officer Ksenia Sosnina.
