Belarusian, Russian energy ministers meet to discuss gas prices

MINSK/MOSCOW. April 30 (Interfax) - Belarusian Minister of Energy Victor Karankevich has met with his Russian counterpart, Alexander Novak, in Moscow, the Belarusian Energy Ministry told Interfax-West.

"The energy minister is in Moscow," the ministry said.

It said that the sides discussed deliveries of gas to Belarus. "During the talks, the ministers discussed a range of pressing issues in the context of bilateral energy cooperation, including delivery and transportation of gas and electricity, as well as interaction through the Eurasian Economic Union," the ministry said.

An informed source said that the ministers discussed prices for deliveries of Russian gas after 2019.

On Tuesday, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will meet with his Belarusian counterpart, Sergei Rumas.
