Investigators, IAC specialists exploring data from SSJ-100's 'black boxes' - Russian Investigative Committee
MOSCOW. May 6 (Interfax) - The investigative activity has ended at the site of the SSJ-100 plane's crash; investigators jointly with representatives of the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) have begun deciphering the data from the flight recorders, spokeswoman of the Russian Investigative Committee Svetlana Petrenko told reporters on Monday.
"Investigators of the Russian Investigative Committee central staff and criminal experts of the Main Criminal Investigations Directorate, who have joined the inquiry into the circumstances of the passenger plane's crash-landing in the Sheremetyevo Airport on May 5, 2019, have completed their investigative activity at the scene of the accident," Petrenko said.
Investigators jointly with IAC representatives retrieved all fragments of the burnt plane from the runway and brought them to a hangar for the further display and examination, she said.
"We are dealing with people injured and affected in the air crash, while investigators jointly with IAC specialists began deciphering and studying the data from the flight recorders that have been retrieved," she said.
