Reports of bombs planted at Volgograd airport, stations and shopping malls false - Interior Ministry

VOLGOGRAD. May 13 (Interfax) - An airport, a railway station and a bus terminal, as well as shopping malls, in Volgograd have been examined, no explosive devices have been found, Svetlana Smolyaninova, spokesperson for the regional branch of the Interior Ministry, told Interfax.

"A thorough inspection was conducted in cooperation with other concerned agencies at every facility, canine handlers with sniffer dogs worked. None of the bomb reports were confirmed," Smolyaninova said.

A caller with an "automatic" voice (a robot) called the landline phones of eight facilities, including an airport, two stations and five shopping malls, on Monday, she said.
